The Servoy Application Server provides the connectivity towards databases.

Individual Servoy clients always access databases through the Servoy Application Server.

To each database, the Servoy Application Server holds a pool of connections, based on the configuration settings provided (see Database connectivity). The connections in the pool are shared by all Servoy Clients.
