Using Servoy Beans

Upon installation, Servoy includes precompiled features, such as the different types of fields and containers that were discussed in this chapter. Users can add extensions to the default (installed) set in the form of beans.

The Servoy Beans drawer of the palette shows two Servoy-aware beans (beans that are specifically designed to work with Servoy):

  • DBTreeView allows display of information using a tree structure.
  • DBTreeTableView allows display of information using a column structure, with an indented outline (tree) structure in the first column.

Servoy Beans can be added to a form by click-placing or click-dragging from the palette.

Note: Additional Servoy Beans can be found through online resources such as www.servoyforge.net.
