How to use a teleprompters online . Hi! I'm Lucy Griffiths and I'm going to share

how to use a teleprompter or autocue to help
your videos and keep you on track, so you're basically reading a script. This
video is full of tricks and tips to really help you be concise and stay
focused. The one thing I would say is that actually we're most natural when we
just talk on camera but there are times when doing a scripted video is more
effective. So, this is the time to use a scripted video. So we're just gonna dive
into how to use the teleprompter. So, we're clicking on teleprompter and you
can choose to add a new script or you can import one from Dropbox. If you have
the paid version of this, you can import from Dropbox but otherwise you can put
if you're doing the free version you just click on compose a new script and
you can paste the script here, so what I do is I then go back to my notes on my
iPhone and here's my script so I'm gonna select or copy, go back to teleprompter.

There's my script. So, I press save for
that and I just call it sales script and there it is. So, now the next thing is
here I am. Now the next thing is then to decide how much of the screen you want
to include. So, at this point it's me just holding the phone so it kind of looks a
little bit shaky so what I can do is now I can clip it into my tripod, so I'm
still just using the phone and I'm gonna do use the vertical version because I
want to do something like Instagram. So I clip this in and I make myself look
vaguely presentable-ish and now you can see that the screen at the top is the
script below, so you want to be at the top and you want to just work out the
speed.

So I as you find that I am a little bit faster than that and I'm
usually about thirty two, and so now that I'm ready,
I just tilt this slightly so I get ready and I press start. By 2020 there will be
six billion people on the planet with a smartphone. Two billion use Facebook
every single month. That's a lot of people and if you're not harnessing the
most effective and cheapest way to market your business on Facebook, you're
missing out but I've got a scary stat for you. Only 10% of entrepreneurs are
truly harnessing the power of video. The other 90% are being left behind, so well
done for being part of the 10% and embracing the opportunities that come
with using video.

Because if you're not talking on camera, then who are your
clients and potential customers watching? Your competitors?
And what if your family relies on your business to succeed? Mark Zuckerberg from
Facebook describes video as our mega trend in the
same order as mobile. Okay so I'm going to stop this now, just so you kind of got
an idea of it but essentially one of the great things about this is that you can
write a script so you can write it on your word document and then you can copy
it into your notes and then copy it across. One thing that you'll notice from
this I have quite a big gap in between each in between each sentence and the
reason that I do that is I can then go in there fastest speed to read it but
I've got the gap to catch up.

Otherwise if I go to slower speed and then kind of
I've read the sentences and there's a massive gap and it doesn't sound doesn't
flow as well. So you want to make sure that you flow and that's why I suggest
going into slower speed. You can click on this button here and you can have more
of the screen showing. So, like you could be like lower down here, so because all
that you're going to see from the recording is the top half so if you want
to have like more space to read more to help you, you can do that.
